What is a Physician Assistant (PA)?

A Physician Assistant is a graduate of an accredited PA educational program who is nationally certified and authorized by the state to practice medicine with the supervision of a licensed physician.

What can a PA do?

A PA works in tandem with physicians to complete physical examinations, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret lab tests, assist in procedures as well as provide patient education and counsel. Numerous studies have shown PAs improve the quality of care a medical office can offer to patients. A PA is a catalyst for providing insight and possible treatment plans to the rest of the medical staff.
